It is beyond gorgeous outside today [which isn’t unusual for Charlotte, North Carolina] so I decided to go sit in the grass on my lunch hour and call a friend.

If gas was only $2 I would be in my car driving to Martinsville, VA for the Truck and Cup race this weekend. Or to Louisville for the UK game with my family. But it’s not, it’s close to $4. I can die a happy girl. At Bristol Motor Speedway, during driver intros, each driver picks a song for when they are introduced. Denny Hamlin, driver of the #11 FedEx Camry for JGR picked ‘Teach Me How To Dougie” and ACTUALLY dougied while walking out. Amazing.

Amazingly Sad.
I had a hard time sleeping last night. So today was started with a large vanilla iced coffee. And now I’m sitting at my desk, drinking my fuel, and thinking about WHY my mind was in a pretzel last night.
And it comes down to a bitter realization: in a world where there is so much beauty, people can be so incredibly ugly. And oh, how deeply saddening that is.

Ok, I’m not one to fly off the handel but WHAT THE HELL!?!?!!? The phone in the office has been ringing off the hook ALL DAY and there are people who are sitting around, checking personal email, dealing with Daytona issues that won’t effect us for AWHILE and chatting.
