Courtney: Brian, you’re a hot mess!
Brian: No I’m fucking not. I’m not a mess. And I’m not hot. I’m just Carroll…Brian fucking Carroll.
Courtney: Oh, sorry Brian.
Brian: just Carroll

Clearly this was a moment you had to be there for to find how funny it was but it left me, Mel and Kate in stitches. He was pretty drunk and was speaking very loudly, which, in my opinion, added to the comical nature of this brief exchange of words. Ahh, it’s moment’s like these that I’ll remember most. The random bits that few will understand [or remember] Even if everyone else doesn’t get it, I get it. And that’s whats important.

Last night was wonderful. The night didn’t go where we initially planned but it ended up being one of THE BEST nights I’ve had in Ireland yet.

And I didn’t even have to get off the couch……

[PJs and pizza and fries and diet coke and a heart-to-heart in the early hours of the morning. It was nice]

What's for dinner?

Mel, Kate and I decided that each week we were going to pick a night and cook dinner for each other. Tonight was Mel’s night. She made an amazing sweet and sour chicken dish with rice and prawn crackers. [Yeah, prawn crackers didn’t sound very appetizing but they weren’t half bad, or fishy! haha] And for dessert she bought amazing walnut brownies from the farmers market. She warmed them up and we had vanilla ice cream with them. AMAZINGGG.

Tomorrow night is my night. I’m making my killer quesadillas. And for dessert I plan on making southern fried apples over vanilla ice cream.

Thursday Doyler is making lasagna. Yummy!

Just thought I’d let you know that Katherine, Kaitlin and I just booked flights to go to Wales, Scotland and France. England and Germany are next on the agenda.

Hi. I’m Courtney. You may call me world traveler.

Dear MTV:

“This is the story of eight strangers….Picked to live in a house…Work together and have their lives taped…to find out what happens when people stop being polite and start being real. The Real World: Limerick”

If only you all understood how utterly PERFECT my house and housemates are for this show. The conditions, the drama, the difference and individuality of the people. It is just perfect. If only I could record each day that passes and each story that unravels in Plassey 5. My housemate Kate said our lives are like those on The Hills…good looking people and various dramatic story lines. Only difference, we aren’t rich and we aren’t scripted. [Sorry Nicole haha]

so good.

If you happen to be a boy there’s a good chance that I have [or will ever have] little to no faith in you. Sorry, but it’s the absolute truth.

The boys I live with can go fuck themselves.

couple things:

1- Just watched the Season 6 premier of Grey’s Anatomy and OH MY GOSH. Saddest episode to date. [And mind you I usually end up crying during every episode] George is gone : (

2- The first three hours of my day were perfect. I had a hot shower and watched the United v Stokes game [ManU won of course] and had toast with peanut butter and bananas for breakfast. Then I went to church. Perfect start.

3- Yesterday the French girls and I watched Slumdog Millionaire and holy cow, it was so great. I really loved it.

Channeling Cinderella...

Typical Friday.

Got up, went to class and then hung out with the Kates and Corey for a bit. Kaitlin’s sister is visiting so we all went out to lunch. I got chicken fingers and chips [aka french fries] and then felt sick. I haven’t eaten that much greasy food in quite some time so it was rough I guess. Then I walked home. It was a gorgeous Autumn day, absolutely perfect for walking around. As I got to the house I saw the boys leaving for the weekend. Typical. I went into the kitchen and realized they didn’t clean AT ALL. Now, when I say the kitchen was in a rotten state, exaggerate that 10x and you’d have my kitchen. It was nastier than a land fill thanks to the boys. They left it for me to clean. Usually I leave their mess but I certainly wasn’t going to live in it for the weekend. So I cleaned. It took me close to THREE HOURS to clean it. I had to wash every pan, plate, cup, bowl and utensil we own [The drawers and cupboard were empty because literally EVERYTHING was dirty.] I had to scrub food off the counter and table. Recycle about 20 beer and cider cans. And the list goes on and on and on. The boys are gonna get ripped a new one come Sunday night; believe you me.

After making the kitchen sparkle I watched scrubs and then made dinner. I’d call it sausage and potatoes, they’d call it ‘Bangers and mash.’ Cleaned up my dishes [never realized learning to do dishes was an actual lesson, a lesson the boys never learned. Therefore, thanks Mom] and then hung out and watched TV with the french girls. Had a lovely cup of chai with a little cinnemon on top and headed up to my room to relax for the night. AKA I’m listening to country [something I miss so much] and facebook and NASCAR’ing it up.

It’s gonna be a laid-back, quiet weekend in Plassey 5. I’m looking forward to it.

Two weeks to do a 7 page paper is not enough time. Especially when there is 80 people in the class and one set of books in the library that is imperative to do that paper.

I’ve been in this library researching and taking notes for two weeks. And for over a week the one set of texts that I’ve needed, that are the core of my paper, have been MIA. No one seems to know where they are and they aren’t books available for loan. How does the library lose a set of correspondence letters between William Drennan and Martha McTier dating from 1776 to 1820? That’s what I need!!!! The paper is due at 1pm today. I still do not have those books. The paper is typed but chunks are missing. I dislike you Dr. David Fleming. I. Dis. Like. You.

Hi. I’m Courtney and I’m totally and completely screwed.

“You can hold any girl that you like. Fall in love when it’s easy at night. But you wake up wondering why she ain’t ever something better. When you’re lost and run out of road follow what I already know: in the end close is all there is. Oh in the end it’s me you’re gonna miss but you won’t find this…..” —Oh Carrie Underwood….you and your words.
